The Melodramatic Version
They will mog you in every single category except originality
Have you noticed that young women are thinner than they used to be? I grew up in the affluent suburbs of Chicago and I am still here, living in roughly the same place that I have always lived for 53 years. Because my area is so well-to-do, there have never been a great many obese here as there are in other parts of America. That said, young people seem to be reducing in size, at least the young women. Waistlines were more swollen during the halcyon days of Millennials, when body positivity was still a thing and Lizzo was not yet a complete hypocrite. Nowadays, the in crowd isn’t just thin, it’s cachexic. The last time I went and saw a movie in the theater was when I dragged my husband to see Obsession. While exiting, there was a young lady in front of us in the crowd who could not have been more than age 19 in sweatpants and a halter top. The sweatpants hung from her lanky legs like heavy velour disguising a theater proscenium. I was grateful not to see her knobby knees or more of her bony spine, which I knew were lurking ghoulishly under thick fleece. I don’t like seeing people waste themselves, especially young people, and that’s why I’m not putting up stills of Ariana Grande’s latest jump scares from her Petal video. I think it’s enough to say that she is starving to death, she knows it, and she’s showing it off while covered in blood.
Because Ozempic and her sister drugs are currently being shoved down collective throats to the exclusion of all else, we have seen the return of the Ally McBeal anathinspo Tumblr era, now with more visible tendons and collarbones. We are currently living through a sequel with a larger budget, more special effects, and the addition of copious AI. Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber is thinner than Cindy Crawford. Other than that, they could be clones, but of course the younger one is emaciated. Keep in mind that Cindy Crawford used to be a household name in a way that Kaia Gerber will never be, and the sequel has had no choice but to become lesser than what it spins off. We are now supposed to accept Kaia Gerber‘s body as normal, at least normal for a model, when it’s obvious that even for a model, she is skeletal.
The boys are not OK
Hopefully looksmaxxing is on its way out now that Andrew Tate and his ridiculous brother Tristan are facing actual consequences for their actions. The Tate brothers were sent to anal rape purgatory jail sometime in June 2026. They are facing extradition charges to the UK for a laundry list of other crimes, mostly against young women. It is the crime of money laundering without letting the right people in on a piece that likely got the Tates imprisoned, not the copious farming out of women and girls. Unlike Epstein and his gang, the Tates seem to lack the connections at this time to be “suicided” off to a cushy existence in Israel. Their lack of clout has not stopped them from groveling for Donald Trump to pardon them. Awww.
How can they Not see it LOL (say this aloud and you’ll get it)
For those who are not aware, looksmaxxing is a trend among GenZ and Some Gen Alpha that embraces body and face dysmorphia. The unattainable ideal in question is that of an Aryan, Nordic, 1990s model of International Male catalog fame. This ideal is extremely gay, and like the gayest of gay things in this world, it claims to be straight.

Looksmaxxing is nothing new. It was invented long before the internet and mostly used to be applied to girls and women as a control mechanism. Women have always done psycho things to themselves and their children in the name of beauty. In China, the land were reflexology was invented, the benefits of reflexology and its focus on creating health via the feet were only for guys. Girls got their feet bound. The foot binding process is an extraordinarily painful series of mutilations that start when a young girl has barely learned to walk. The second she does walk, her feet are crushed into a more pleasing shape so that way she can never escape the confines of the pavillion walls. This cowing is not just physical, it is mental and goes with an entire suite of conditioned behaviors. Conformity in beauty is particularly insidious as it makes itself look like it is voluntary.
