I'm working through The Cosmic Doctrine now, and very grateful for Greer's commentary. It really is an effective lesson on how to think.

An honest assessment of current circumstances, this piece.

Thank you! Do I remember correctly that you’re a Christian? What I find interesting is that the phenomena Fortune outlines in Cosmic Doctrine have a great deal in common with early Christianity, especially when Jesus would use his overwhelming positive force to heal the sick and exorcise the possessed. Also interesting and I think relevant are Jesus’s comments on leaving judgements of “sinners” such as streetwalkers up to God.

I was raised evangelical, but I am not Christian, though I do revere Christ. (I am the leader of the Octagon Society, spiritual alchemy.) I can see what you mean. I think.a lot of her work was to raise Christ consciousness.

Fascinating. The Octagon Society material is good stuff. I agree -- I think she had a direct connection to Christ consciousness and tried to bring that to anyone who would listen.

Your eyes are open! Thank you!

Years ago I read , literally everything published by Dione Fortune. She was one that helped set me on my Journey.

Neo druid, to Celtic Reconstructionist, to Ceili Dei.

BTW, your music , lyric and voice are Awesome. The Awen is burning bright.

Thank you so much, new friend, you’ve made my day! What brought you to Druidry? I was atheist until about 10 years ago, briefly pagan in my teens, and before that, raised ostensibly “Christian” Protestant, though my family was extremely casual about it.

Long story!

Raised Pentecostal holiness, the blatant hypocrisy turned me away.

In rebellion got into Wicca, studied Anthropology, rejected Wicca for the same reason I left the “Church”, druidry plus anthropology led me to Celtic Reconstructionist.

Then I read the Bible, as an “educated” pagan.

That led me to the Celi De’.

Which is where I am today.

My brain melted over a question.

How did the Apostle Paul, convince Linus, first anointed bishop of Rome, to convert.

Linus, son of Caractacus. A Celtic pagan/Druid.

( That's a rabbit hole!)

The letters of Pelagius, really influenced me.

Now,

I am an across the board heretic I guess.

A teacher at my daughter's school (in Canada) held a Zoom meeting thing about stereotyping and "othering", and was going to offer alternatives. I watched because I wanted to see what this teacher was about, and to get a sense of what is acceptable in education venues.

She started off with a lively diatribe about migrants and how they have been "othered" because it's "believed" they're stealing jobs, using resources, and committing crimes. No debate over whether any of those stereotypes are true or not.

Then she mentions good ol' "Uncle Billy", the white, cis-gender, RACIST, uncle and Trump supporter that makes family get togethers unsafe. The irony was lost on me with what this teacher was doing.

Finally, she actually and with a straight face, claimed that white woman in the USA who voted for Trump are RACIST, because they chose a white man over a black woman and voted against their self-interests. The arrogance of this woman (or perhaps her ideology) knows no bounds! Incredible. I hope the kids see through the bullshit.

A prime example that backs up everything you're saying.

What I find especially pathetic about the teacher at your daughter’s school is that she’s Canadian. I guess she would blanket-presume I am racist, despite me being exactly as white as Barack Obama. What she fails to understand is that hatred is not an alternative to hatred. She has replaced the hatred of migrants (she is the one who actually hates and fears them and shows it by cucking to them and looking down upon them patronizingly) with hatred of whitey. As I said in a previous essay, a hate boner is still a boner.
