Thanks for this. Very helpful. Not trying to banish anything. Moved into a new neighborhood 6 years ago and trying to get to know the spirit neighbors, both human and non human, plant and animal.
The idea of using existing church infrastructure is helpful as well. Over in Guadalajara there's a church called the expiatorio which is open 24/7 for adoration of the host. Has a good vibe. Very quiet bad spirits do not linger.
Also in Mexico, catholic churches have been built on top of indigenous temple sites often using the old temple stones. So you can have access to both catholic and indigenous spirit help.
Courageous, to come out like this. I worked with a circle of protection for a time, but moved to the ritual of the lesser pentagram. Though I have been neglecting that this spring, I have been so busy - which is probably when i should be most focused on it. My semi-daily tarot divination has been on a bit of a negative trend lately, so this post is a timely reminder. Thank you.
Thanks William! I tried the pentagram ritual when I was starting out and it was great, but once I went down the slower path of Druid magic I realized that I had to keep it consistent. One thing I forgot to say in the article is that any Christian with a church doing the traditional mass in a traditional space is partaking in a potent banishing ritual. Though once a day is far more ideal, once a week isn’t bad.
This is a fascinating practice, and I'll have to see if there are any Catholic (doubtful) or Orthodox equivalences to adapt it to my Christian sensibilities. Thanks!
I have heard of people doing banishing rituals while naming saints, angels, or various aspects of Jesus. For instance, the East might be the clarity of Jesus, the South could be the fire of His righteousness, the West could be the power of His love, the North could be His grace, the spirit below could be His Resurrection from the Earth, and the spirit above could be God the Father. I hope this makes sense.

Sounds like a lovely place! I have also heard that most Mexican homes are built of concrete, and concrete is a good etheric insulator.

“Appearing to be a weirdo is a risk I am willing to take” …so true for all of us in the esoteric world 😂
I was born weird, so now I’ve realized I just have to lean into it…
